Earlier this evening The King welcomed @KingAbdullahII to Windsor Castle to mark the year of His Majesty's Silver Jubilee. 🇯🇴 🎉

His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by The King, inspected a Guard of Honour in The Quadrangle.

The Hon Manon Jeannotte was received in audience by The King today upon her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Quebec.

His Majesty this afternoon held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for medallists of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, at which The Princess Royal and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Later The King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to mark the year of His Majesty's Silver Jubilee, visited The King and remained to Tea.

Ms Abda Sharif was received in audience by The King this morning and kissed hands upon her appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen.

Professor John Allison was also received by His Majesty.

Ms Danielle Dunne was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon her appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador to the Republic of Paraguay.

Mr Jack Lightley was also received by His Majesty.

Mr Jeffrey Glekin was received in audience by The King upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Seychelles.

Ms Andrea Chiappe was also received by His Majesty.

Mrs Marianne Young was received in audience by The King upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the United Republic of Tanzania.

We saw Gladiator 2 last night at a family gathering. It's more a picture males would love than women I think but I quite enjoyed it. I'm sure King Charles did also.

The King received the Bishop of Exeter (the Right Reverend Dr Michael Harrison) this afternoon, who did homage upon his appointment.

His Majesty received the Bishop of Sodor and Man (the Venerable Patricia Hillas), who did homage upon her appointment.

The Rt Hon Shabana Mahmood MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oaths.

The Bishop of Hereford (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

The Right Reverend Dr John Inge was received by The King and delivered up to His Majesty the Badge of Office upon relinquishing his appointment as Lord High Almoner when The King invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Right Reverend Graham Usher was received by The King when His Majesty handed to him the Badge of Office upon his appointment as Lord High Almoner.

The King, Patron, the Film and Television Charity, and The Queen later held a Reception at Buckingham Palace in recognition of those who work within the Film and Television Industry.

The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.

The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The King, Patron, the Film and Television Charity, on the occasion of the Charity's Centenary, this evening attended the World Premiere of Gladiator II at the Odeon Luxe, Leicester Square, London WC2, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London) and the Chairman of the Film and Television Charity (Ms Claire Tavernier).

Today is the Seventy Sixth Anniversary of the Birthday of The King.

The King this morning visited the Coronation Food Project Hub in Deptford, Unit 4, Deptford Trading Estate, Blackhorse Road, London SE8, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), Dame Martina Milburn and the Baroness Casey of Blackstock (Co-Chairmen of the Coronation Food Project), Ms Dori Dana-Haeri (Chairman of Development Commitment, Coronation Food Project), the Executive Director of King Charles III Charitable Fund (Ms Nikki Jeffery), the Chief Executive Officer of the Felix Project (Ms Charlotte Hill) and the Mayor of London (the Rt Hon Sadiq Khan).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairmen, met representatives and supporters of five Coronation Food Project Hubs located across the United Kingdom, representatives of surplus food distribution organisations, and manufacturers and supermarket retailers of the Food Alliance Sourcing.

Having met beneficiaries, members of staff, volunteers and local schoolchildren, The King spoke via video link to representatives of the Coronation Food Project in Liverpool, before officially opening Deptford and Liverpool Coronation Food Project Hubs.

The King visited Hamworthy Barracks in Poole, Dorset.

The King, Captain General, Royal Marines, later visited Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, Lympstone, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon) and the Commandant General Royal Marines (General Gwyn Jenkins).

The King was received on parade with a Royal Salute and presented Green Berets and The King's Badge to The King's Squad, 362 Troop.

Afterwards His Majesty viewed specialist training and met Commando Forces, recruits and instructors, before attending a Reception in the Officers' Mess with recruits and their families, veterans and charity employees.

Mr Aly Baber Mawji, Mrs Wilson Hargreaves, Mrs Ann Van Dyjk and Mrs Ward were also received by His Majesty.

Mr Robert Tinline was received in audience by The King upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to Canada.

Ms Victoria Billing was also received by His Majesty.

The King and Queen held an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Diplomatic Corps at which The Prince of Wales was present.

The Hon Joan Marie Aylward was received by His Majesty upon her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mr Carl Thompson was also received by The King.

The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty this evening.

The following were received in audience by The King this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as His Majesty's Ambassadors: Mr Neerav Patel (the State of Qatar), Dr Nathaniel Copsey (the Republic of Bulgaria), Mr Philip Hall (the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), Ms Victoria Harrison (the Republic of Slovenia) and Dr Liane Saunders (the Sultanate of Oman).

Afterwards The King held a Reception at St James's Palace for Nature First Economy.

The Queen this morning received Mr Aatif Hassan (Chairman and Founder, Dukes Education) and Mr Gyles Brandreth (Founder, Poetry Together) who introduced Mr Colin Hinton and Master Avi Goel (Poetry Together Champions) to Her Majesty.

The Queen, Vice Patron, the Royal Commonwealth Society, this morning held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for winners and runners-up of The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition 2024.
