Chelsy wouldn't be eligible to study post-graduate law in Australia. She may be able to study law as a post-graduate, but that is an entirely different thing. Fact; so I won't accord her any undue status (from an Australian perspective). Money doesn't speak all languages in Australia - yet. What she is doing is clearly very average.

And, it does not exempt her from being 'clingy' at all. She doesn't work, or have to worry about domestic duties or financial stress - she has loads of free time to be 'clingy'.

However, I think we are getting off topic.

So what do these figures say?  If most people who don't like Kate want to keep the banners, and most people who don't like Kate, like Chelsey, then those who want to keep the signature banners are willing to tolerate the anti-Chelsey ones.

Really ? Maybe they won't mind the anti-Chels expressions? I say go for it !

As for Chelsy being Clingy, she fits the dictionary definitions right down the line. Four years now. ;)

You guys still crack me up. Clingy Chelsy. I saw the dictionary definition to be sure and it talks about remaining close or emotionally attached to someone or something. Looks like everyone in the world is clingy. Whether it be our family, friends, significant other, even old traditions in our families fit the definition. Clingy Katy, Clingy Chelsy, Clingy Everybody!  :boredatwork:

ETA: Chelsy isn't Australian. Don't know what that was about.

"Clingy Chelsy" doesn't have the same ring to it as "Waity Katy." It only sort-of works. You need an adjective that ends in "cy" or "sy" to get the same effect. I can't think of anything right now though.   How about "Cheesy Chelsy"? Nah. The sounds in "Waity Katy" are the same except the first sound/letter. It has a good ring to it, whether you like calling her that or not (lots of pro-Kate people here now), and the tabs even took it from this site. Maybe Chelsy can be shortened to "Chels"? Still can't think of anything. Hmm...  :booknerd:  <-- me looking through a dictionary

Anyway, as for Chelsy, I am glad she's getting her post-graduate degree and also looking to get work experience. I read somewhere that she even went to a Career Fair. Good for her! Smart idea, IMO, because if it doesn't work out with Harry (they are from very different worlds) she still has something to fall back on. In the end I don't know if it will work out or not, but I wish them both the best.

Anti-Kate banners? Anti-Chelsy banners? I could care less. I am for freedom of expression. As long as there is no nudity or profanity. I actually came back here because I heard some complaining and wanted to know what the fuss was about. But I am not here very often anymore, so I guess my opinion shouldn't hold as much weight are your regulars to this site.

OOOHHHH soooo I take it then you (lucy) would like to change your vote to "against"....?....

aand yes... although some posters try to say that it was the anit-katers (a smoke and screen) that brought on this rule.... the numbers and names tell another story... which is why (I assume) some have not clarified their position with a simple "for"..... I know the posters that are against this rule have no problem stating "against".

Well ya'll can say what you want about Cheapy Chelsy but she does have that look-of-love for Harry.

Then keep all the siggys, for/against Kate, and for/against Chelsy and just suck up the backlashes from other forum members?

That's fine with me. If you post contraversial banners and sigs then it is up to you to take the heat!   :catfight:
uh huh..........:sowhat: ...... ssooooo then you too, Emme, are "against" #17.... since its fine with you.

Thanks for identifying all those posters who Love anti-Kate banners but will NOT put up with any which are anti-Chels.

:thanks: :flowery:  :high5:

I hear ya, Wannabe, the Exact same response. Only anti-Kate nicks or banners accepted or what? They exit? Hope not, because it should work both ways.

uh huh....... :sowhat: .... does that mean you are "against" #17

It may mean the opposite

uh huh.... :sowhat: .... they created a rule (#17) to vote "against it"....?....

:jester: With all this "double talk" I can see how some Mods or Admins got confused.  :jester:
I do hope the "List" has helped to clarify....... sometimes people created their own "victim" status for the only intent to distract.

Even when she pouts. Love your attitude, Drezzle. ;) :yesss:

Someone here rightly said that Sigs should be left up to good taste yet that is just too general I guess. Too bad though cause it would be much jollier. :jester:

Actually, I did vote FOR #17.  However, with much passionate discussion of the rule, I have come to the conclusion: If you (and I mean a generalized "you") post siggys that may offend someone, then BE PREPARED to feel the backlash!  NO WHINING about what so and so said about my siggy.  Stand up and face the heat because that is what you are going to get.

I go with the old addage, "Live by the sword, die by the sword".  :catfight:

I guess you may say, I change my vote to AGAINST #17, with the condition, NO WHINING ALLOWED!!!

Edit, because I was posting from my phone originally and gave up typing on those tiny keys ....

If you want to be taken seriously about this complaint, then you all need to stay on topic and stop bickering with each other about silly little things like who is pro-Kate or what Chelsy's nickname should be; things that, may I remind you, caused the creation of this rule in the first place!

I did read the post. I was saying that negative comment was irrelevant because Chelsy isn't Australian, nor is she studying in Australia. That was the point. Nice tone, by the way, especially the last part of your post. You are a kind-hearted and respectful Moderator. That was one of the things I missed while I was gone from this site.

-----------

Back to topic - I am still against the rule. People should be able to have freedom of speech. Otherwise, what is the point of having a forum? Just make it a fansite and only positive things allowed. Pro-Katers can post in the pro-Kate section, and vice versa for Chelsy fans.

I think that would make the place a lot easier on the mod team. No fights because everyone would stay in their own little area of the forum.

@ leogirl.......Thanks for the compliment ;)

It's not about being pro or anti anything.....it's about nastiness or offensive siggies.  Come on, we're all
smart enough to know what is offensive (I mean reeeeaaaalllly nasty and offensive).....

I'm against the rule by the way.....I think there can be a happy medium....
