Marie's Wild Past: Will she still become a Danish Princess?

The Danish tabloid Se og Hor has begun to run scandalous pics of the future Princess Marie. Obviously this is going to go on for a long time so I thought I'd create a new thread. I could be absolutely wrong but I have a feeling that she will quietly disappear from Joachim's life as if there was never an engagement or press conference.

If Joachim really loves her, I don't think he'll allow her to disappear. Everyone has a past, it's what you do after it that counts.

To marry into any royal family IMO is so not worth it :mellow: unless you have a squeaky clean past, but then the tabs would label you boring. :mellow:

Well I think her problem is that she did not tell her fiancee or her royal in-laws of all of this. They have basically been blind-sided with all of this which will leak out in the form of pics and video over several weeks.

Also, just because Mette Marit was allowed in the NRF doesn't mean the DRF will tolerate someone like her. I still don't like MM because she's lackluster, mediocre and reminds me of trailer park trash and I think Haakon could have done better.

Yes, an ex-bf of Marie's (Anthony Du Wort) has been talking to the tabs since the moment she got engaged, first discussing intimate details about their relationship, which made him look like a cad. Then he went to his file box and pulled out all of the photographic and video taped evidence of that relationship, which makes him look like an even bigger cad and sleaze. But Marie is the one who allowed this stuff to be taken by him and didn't bother to retrieve it after the relationship ended. I doubt she told Joachim or the RF (maybe she forgot about it) because I'm sure there would have been some effort to get this stuff and burn it before the engagement by either the RF or her own family. Instead it's out there with no control over it.

I thought only Mette Marits boyfriend did drugs, I never thought she did them herself, only that she lived with the guy, but anyway, regardless, she wasn't exactly Princess material.
I wonder how long before a Prince is allowed to marry a naked Playboy centerfold.
I'll bet Joachim knew Marie had thong shots, she probably wore them for him and she loves to take photos and give interviews, especially when they first met.
but the sex video he probably didn'y know about.
Can you see her on Royal duty smiling and guys in the room remembering her thong shots.

The picture doesn't look like Marie ...and I think Joachim should be with her if he wishes to!! I think she is seems like a very kind woman...AND the press should leave her alone, they loved her until she became engaged to Joachim!

I do think it's her in the thong(but many girls wear thongs these days) the photo won't change anything for Joachim. He loves her.

I beg to differ. That picture most certainly looks like Marie. She hasn't changed a bit and has hardly aged, and we don't know what other photos the tabloid has (not to mention the video) but just can't print them in a family newspaper albeit a Sun-like sleazy tabloid with page 3 girls. I tried to forgive all her chatterbox with the media from the beginning but I really am appalled by her personal behavior. She's so indiscreet whether it's talking about her relationship with Joachim and now this.

I agree it totally looks like her. When she first met him, I thought she was just a bit of a big mouth, talking to the press, but it looks to be more to it, than just talking a lot. She seems to not mind taking racy photos. I still think Joachim saw her thong photos before,but didn't know about the sex video. It's not making her look good. Low key wedding is coming. Recently it was said she wanted to marry in France.

I really don't see the big deal. It's not like she's an actual porn star. Her former boyfriend took sexy pictures of her, and apparently they recorded a sex tape. Lots of people take sexy photos of their partners, either for fun, or because they're going out of town for a while, or whatever. And lots of people make their own personal sex tapes because they think it will be "fun". It isn't that serious. In my opinion it reflects much worse on her terrible ex-boyfriend than it does on her. She wasn't to know she's wind up dating and marrying Joachim, was she? Nobody can predict something like that, and one certainly can't plan their life and everything they do based on the possibility of one day marrying a prince (*cough*KateMiddleton*cough*).

And about the idea it might be a problem somehow when guys in the room at her royal functions are picturing her in a thong...they're men. Men are likely to be picturing an attractive woman naked whether they've already seen it or not! (Not to say women are necessarily any better. I'm sure I'm not.)

I hope for Joachim's sake nothing else comes out because it is obvious that he truly loves Marie. Even if it does that might not be enough to derail the marriage but it will have an affect on how she is viewed in Denmark by the public and the RF. Or there might be a lot of sympathy for her being the victim of her sleazy ex.

Thanks for saving me the typing because this is exactly what I was coming in here to say. I am sure it must be very humiliating for Marie but the person who it makes look the worst is her ex. And honestly, those photos of her in a thong, there are beaches around the world where women, and men, wear less. It is not very classy, but let's not all pretend to be shocked by private photos when people wear less on public beaches in several countries, including Denmark I suspect.

The problem is that nobody knows what other photos are going to be published or turn up on the internet because Marie didn't bother to get a hold of this while she was running her mouth to the tabloids during her courtship with Joachim. The RF is just at the mercy of the tabloids and the sleazy ex. Poor Joachim faced with headlines like this:

I think if she reappears in Denmark she'd better be speaking perfect Danish and showing some repentance and regret not smiling from ear to ear for her tabloid tormenters like nothing is going on. The little naive girlie act has got to go. I bet Joachim feels like he's been punched in the stomach. I know he's humiliated.

I still think Joachim knew about the sexy thong photos, she may have had a few photos in her flat in Paris when they were dating, that wouldn't have been a big deal, but I don't think he knew about a possible sex video. Still I believe he knows exactly what he's getting with MarieC. and he loves it. Guys aren't complicated, even some Princes.

wearing a thong or even going topless @ a beach is one thing, but a woman who agrees to have a sex video with her boyfriend and be stupid enough not to conviscate it when they broke up is another matter. Marie despite her education and sophisticated career seems to be lacking in basic ingredient needed in a woman entering a royal family that represent not just its people but a Christian church: moral principles. I mean by all means have all the sex video you want with whomever, but that does not qualify her to be a princess.

....and comparing her with Princess Mette Merit is a bit sad, since Mette's Lebanese boyfriend and the father of her oldest son was the one with the drug habit and mistreated her @ a young age. I do not ever recall any sex tape or scandal like this coming about her, in fact Mette's scandal was being out of wedlock mother and only had two boyfriend in her lifetime, one she's married to right now.
