Prince Joachim of Belgium navy promotion

His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Belgium has entered service in the Belgian Navy as an Ensign following his studies at the Nautical School Brugge. The Prince is the younger son of The Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este.

Prince Joachim has led a mostly private life; he was born to the Archduke and Archduchess of Austria-Este in December 1991 at the University Clinic in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium.

Brabant’s summer holiday in countryside

The Brabant FamilyThe Duke and Duchess of Brabant have taken their children on a short summer trip to the Belgian coutryside, the royal couple allowed photographers to snap away a few official photographs of the short summer trip to Aubechies in Belgium.

Princess Elizabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonor were all dressed in similar fashion, all in shades of purple and dark pink that provided a cute setting for several official royal photographs of the young family.

British Coat of ArmsWith upwards of 40 foreign royals descending on London this weekend for the Royal Wedding, lets take a look at who will be here, and where they will be staying. Keep in mind that Queen Elizabeth's cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson is hosting a pre-wedding dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hyde Park for the British and foreign royals and some selected weddings guests. While many royals have been spotted entering that hotel, we cannot be sure if they are arriving for the dinner, or will be staying there as well.

Crown Prince & Princess of Belgium visit Russia

Princess Mathilde, Duchess of BrabantCrown Prince Philippe and Crown Princess Mathilde arrived in Moscow on 3 April for a 5 day economic mission to Russia. The purpose of their trip is to promote the economic ties between Belgium and Russia, and to promote the image of Belgium in Russia. This is the 3rd of such trips by the royal couple over the past decade.
