Since we don't have an option to add a banner the way we add avatars to the forum, I thought it would be nice to have a thread to keep them all in... so I've cleaned up my photobucket account and made some more banners for general use!

The following are banners I found in my photobucket account....

~not sure

~I really don't know

~Stix

~Wombat

The rest are ones that I made - I don't mind where you guys use these banners, but if you do use them on a website other then this one, please give credit where credit is due and link back to here!

Ouch! Yeah, I hate it when that happens.

OT- My laptop normally crashes every 8 months, it hasn't crashed in almost a year. It's long overdue. I always forget to baack everything up, too. So sad.

This is the second time in 6 months for me

I backed up about 6 weeks ago, so the loss isn't nearly as devastating as last time, when I hadn't backed up at all.... 5 years of data .....

Still makes me sad!

Go to Profile --> then Forum Profile Information --> then go to the section titled signature --> then you put [i m g] then in the middle you put the link of the desired object (which can be obtained by right clicking, properties, and copy link location) [/ i m g] (only with out the spaces!

Well if you want one of the banners from above just follow the directions i posted above, or PM me and tell me which one you want and i can help you. If you want to make one i'm sure there are many programs and softwares that can help i.e. paint, photoshop, etc.

Yeah, Windsor and I both use Photoshop, but Stix uses paint (which should be already on your computer) and I think wombat used photofiltre, which can be downloaded for free (just google photofiltre). GIMP is also a free program, that I have heard is comparable (in features) to photoshop, but I have never used it before

I'm going to sound like a idiot when I say this but, how do you make banners? I've tried paint and other programmes but they won't let me import pictures! I'm not a technical whizz

Thanks Ladies....I am VERY fortunate to have a Darling Friend who does the pix from a huge assortment they have accumulated over the years and I usually do the captions...more coming Soon !!

Britt, with Paint, you have to open both files and then copy/paste one into the other.. I never really got the hang of it, but Stix is really good
