The York's skiing holiday in Verbier

Fergie overcomes her fear of arrest... to go skiing with ex-husband and daughters

She said she was too frightened to leave the country after being threatened with arrest by the Turkish authorities.
Just weeks later, however, the Duchess of York has apparently recovered her nerve enough to fly off on an all-expenses-paid skiing holiday with her ex-husband and their daughters.
The family flew out to Switzerland on Saturday for a week-long jaunt to coincide with Prince Andrew's 52nd birthday yesterday.

They take this annual trip, hope they had a great time.

And belated Happy Birthday Prince Andrew

The Duke and Duchess of York should just go ahead and remarry. They obviously still care very deeply for each other.

I was thinking the same thing. Because its not like he can "date" or have a gf when Fergie is still taking vacations with him. They seem to have a deep bond, too bad they had to divorce in the 1st place.

They may get along so well because they're not married though.  If they were married they would have to spend more time together.

It is obvious that they both care very deeply about each other, despite all the ups and downs. I'm sure their daughters are better people, because of the devotion of their parents. I recall hearing Sarah interviewd on an American TV programme, and in response to the question of whether she and Andrew would remarry she said something like "they (meaning the Royal Family) wouldn't allow me back". They both seem happy with things as they are at the moment, and Sarah is living the Duchess lifestyle (i.e. holidays, charity events, social functions) in all but name!

I don't see how they can remarry when much of the RF detests her.  Prince Phillip is said to feel the most strongly (against her) but Charles and William aren't far behind.
Fergie wasn't even invited to William's wedding.

I bet if Andrew did remarry her, Charles would make sure that he wouldn't get all those perks he gets now.

If Prince Charles was allowed to marry Camilla after all the grief that situation brought to the Royal Family I don't see why there would be any difference with Andrew and Sarah. At least Sarah is the Mother of the Queen's Grandchildren.

I would love for them to remarry  :teehee: they seem to still care a great deal about each other and he never really moved on because he never stopped loving her if you ask me  :vday2:.

Maybe they're more comfortable the way things are now?

But Charles is the heir, and he's financially independent.  That makes a huge difference, IMO.
Besides, since the marriage Camilla hasn't caused any more scandal but has tried to rehabilitate her image.

Fergie, otoh, is always running into debt and causing embarrassment to the RF.
So I don't think you can compare the two cases, really.

Sarah got a terrible divorce deal and I do think she has a tendency to overspend but If they remarried she would have as much access to funds as the Royal Family. Prince Charles gets his money from the Duchy of Cornwall and I believe the Duchy should have been given back to the people a long time ago. King's used to just take people's land and assets at will and since it is the 21st Century those lands should be given back. Just my opinion of course.  :D

You bet. He is gone most of the time and has plenty of girlfriends. I think the only reason Sarah goes skiing with them every year is because the girls want the family to be together once in a while. Up until lately Sarah wasn't in England much either and she liked to spend holidays with her former Norwegian boyfriend in Norway. I imagine that after both the girls are married that Andrew will marry , but not Sarah. I think he has pity on Sarah who would be homeless without him. How would that look, two princesses' mother homeless? The royals won't let that happen.  Andrew has confirmed that he won't ever remarry Ferguson.

Would they marry again? ‘No. We are both in a better place. It’s because we are in a better place which is probably why we are able to remain such close friends. We have two great kids. We do things together as a family.’

I couldn't find the article just now but a few years ago the queen and duke decided to give Sarah another chance and invited her to Balmoral for a few days. From all reports she spent the whole time telling them they should read their horoscopes and learn how to live more successfully. When they tried to change the subject she was relentless on horoscopes. They didn't enjoy her visit.  :notamused:
