I hope they enjoy themselves and I will also be interested to see the pictures. I think Camilla has been dressing better since she and Prince Charles went public and will be interested to see that. Camilla also seems to have a way to make people laugh including Prince Charles.

Oh that will be a big event in Denmark thats for sure. We are all a bit anglofilia here.

I'm abit worried about the visit to Norway. That will take some taste and balance when Charles and Camilla meet the survivors of the terrorist attack at Utøya. A lot of the young men and women are still very vulnerable after looking death in the eye and seeing their friends shot down. But I appriciate the gesture.

I wonder if we'll see C&C together with Mary and Frederick, or Victoria and Daniel, or Haakon and Metie-Merit when they visit?

It is most likely the case that most members of the Swedish, Danish and Norwegian Royal Families will be attendance for the main events like the State Banquets. For other engagements, we only have confirmation from Denmark with the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark scheduled to accompany the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall on a number of engagements.

Windsor, am curious to know have you heard anything about members of other European Royal families being invited for the Diamond Jubilee.  I don't recall anything like that hapenning in the past, but it is a special occasion.  I think I did read that members of other European Royal families came here for Queen Victoria's Jubilee, but then again she was closely related to most of them or had closer links to them.

Charles and Camilla to Meet Victims of Norway Massacre

On their Jubilee tour of Scandinavia next week, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will show solidarity with survivors of the terrible massacre on the Norwegian island of Utoya.

After arriving in Oslo on March 20, the royal couple will stay at the Palace as guests of King Harald and Queen Sonja.

A Clarence House spokesman said that the couple are "deeply touched" by the invitation to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen's accession.

The aide added: "Their Royal Highnesses will meet young people engaged in youth activities, including survivors of the terrible attack at Utoya last Summer."

Oh yes, all the kings and queens of Europe and their spouces were in London for QEII's Golden Jubilee. We saw some of them arrive together in a bus to some event in London. They are all cousins as well.  :blowkiss:

Charles doesn't seem all that happy to be there or I guess I should say I have seen him happier. I do hope Charles is not having health issues.  Camilla is wearing the same dress from Commonwealth day.  I wonder if this is a new trend. :laugh10:
Another soldier down maybe it is time to shorten these ceremonial duties for these poor guys or get them cooler outfits. :blowkiss:

In my opinion, he doesn't look particularly unhappy, but he does look quite serious.  Maybe he's concerned about that poor soldier who fainted. :blank:  It's a little odd to me that they just leave them lying there.  They did the same with the one who passed out a couple of days ago.  Is this a common enough occurrence that no one really takes notice, I wonder?  I remember one soldier passed out a year or two ago, in front of Letizia.  I can just imagine all of them lining up and each one thinking, "Please don't let me be the one to pass out today!"

Something I noticed in the pictures was that Crown Princess  M-M  curtsied to Camilla.  I did not see any pictures were this was reversed - that is not to say that Camilla did not curtsy back.  Both are married to the first -in line to their respective crown.  Is it because Haakon is in the line of succession to the British Crown through his great grandfather but further down, therefore Camilla takes precedence? But considering they in Norway would this hold?

I think that Charles is less unhappy and more solemn.  It is a wreath laying ceremony and then they were meeting with family and survivors of the massacre from last summer.  Also there was that plane crash last week that C&C expressed their sympathies and regrets.

That is sad that they just let the soldiers that faint just repose there.  I think that Charles hasn't been looking the most healthy as of late, his complexion seems a bit off.  Hope he is ok, he looks a bit tired, understandable, the older royals are getting up there and travel can be taxing.

They all looked stunning. I am saddened they chose to hold a Black Tie dinner... The Duchess of Cornwall did look stunning, her jewellery collection is a perfect match.

Hi Lothwen, I would venture that Windsor prefers the more formal white tie for state occasions. I know I do.  :)
