I am having trouble how to figure out to adjust the time on the forum?

Go to your Profile then from the drop down menus select: Modify Profile > Look & Layout > then click on the 'Auto Detect' link or adjust using the +/- settings.

I want to have the time for east coast united states...i dont see that in the drop down menu.

^^ iisuzieii, try this ... in your profile, choose Look & Layout, then in the drop-down menu for the time, choose the first option after the default (second choice), then let the auto-detect take over.

I don't see any options for looks or layout...it just has the stuff about password...and the other stuff just shows me the amount of posts per day...the only other thing i can edit is the avatar..its weird...i've looked it over several times...

You need to have 25+ to change settings in your profile. I will change your settings to reflect the time zone of the East Coast of the USA.
