In order to cover the cost of managing the website, advertising slots are now to be found within the first two/three posts of every thread. We have tried to make these adverts the least intrusive as possible. If you have any questions, and or suggestions please feel free to contact me, or post in this thread.

A curiosity/trivia, the advertisements are 'smart' in some way, my IP address most likely indicates a Spanish speaking country, the ads come in Spanish and availability where I reside.

How do the advertisements come to each of you guys?

I guess they are linked to your google search, geographic's and age, I got lot's of jewel, shoes and wedding dress add's and of course stuff 'bout royals, but also random  some adds for chat sites, love partner sites, how to save money join bank XYZ now and you get that amazing mp3 player blabla! that sorta stuff...

I don't see any advertisements - but I use Google Chrome, which I think blocks that sort of thing automatically?
Life doesn't have a remote. So get up and change it yourself.

If we click onto one of these ads, what assurances do we have our computer will not become infected with a virus?

Updated:  I tried to read the following link in the Prince Harry section, but was prevented from doing so by pop ups appearing over the wording.  Then pop ups appeared over the pop ups.  Is this a result of advertising being allowed on the forum or is it a separate problem with the article?

No. Pop ups are a distinctly separate issue from the forum.  External websites decide whether or not they want to permit such marketing features.

Most browsers will offer a decent tool to block pop ups, Mike.  Depending on what you use, I'd recommend enabling this feature to avoid the "problem" in the future.

The advertising on the Royal Insight is virus-free and clicking on them will not bring about any issues.
