Japan was devastated by an 8.9-magnitude earthquake this past weekend, and the royal families from around the world are offering their condolences and support. The UK's Queen Elizabeth sent a message to Japan's Emperor Akihito saying: “Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the dreadful disaster.”

A group of tribal leaders from communities across Jordan have taken the unusual step or urging the King of Jordan, King Abdullah II to decrease the influence of his wife in political matters relating to the country.
They also went about attacking the Queen’s Palestinian origins and accusing the Queen of “building power centers for her own interests”.
