Royal Family attend the Trooping of the Colour

Prince Charles and Prince William on horsebackThe 59th Trooping of the Colour of Her Majesty’s Reign got underway with members of the Royal Family taking part in the parade, the Foot Guards lining up the route, and the Household Cavalry making an impressive display of splendor with their shining Armour.

First to arrive at Horse Guards were:

  • H.R.H. The Duchess of Cornwall
  • H.R.H. Prince Harry of Wales
  • H.R.H. The Duchess of Cambridge
  • H.R.H. The Duke of York

They were followed in a second horse-drawn carriage by:

  • H.R.H. Princess Eugenie
  • T.R.H. The Earl and Countess of Wessex
  • H.R.H. Princess Louise of Wessex

Royals attend Epsom Derby

Princess Beatrice hat sold for £81,100

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie at the Royal WeddingThe hat worn by Princess Beatrice of York to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in London on 29 April 2011 has been sold on the online auction site eBay for £81,100.

Created by Philip Treacy, the hat made headlines throughout the world for its dramatic design, some have described the creation as a Turkey Twizzler, a toilet seat and a pretzel.

The hat has even managed to generate enough attention to merit its own facebook fan page, and countless of videos on youtube.

The proceeds of the sell will go to Unicef and Children in Crisis.
